ADOBE DNG CONVERTER FOR MAC 10.10.5 UPDATE

It is in the Digital camera RAW formats supported by OS X El Capitan under the heading "Supported by Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.19".

I do not see the D500 anywhere in the Digital camera RAW formats separated by OS X Yosetime. Although there may have been times when Apple has released updates for several recent versions of the OS, these updates can be OS-specific, and in some cases, are folded directly into a general OS update (not even into a RAW compatibility one). It seems like it could be an OS issue in not having Raw support (D500) for Yosemite but I didn't think raw support was OS specific.Īperture, iPhoto, and Photos all get their RAW support from Apple's digital camera RAW libraries. I'll have do a workaround with D500 Raw files. Seems that D500 is only supported in El Capitan which is not good for me. There's a RAW bundle that goes into system/coreservices I think, but I dunno if going into would tell you anything either.

Not sure of how to check to see what you've got already probably easiest to just install the latest. I seem to recall they worked even on older systems, but I haven't messed with it for a while so don't know.

RAW updates can be downloaded separately. I tried to open in Preview and Photoshop CS6 but same issue. All other Raw files from other bodies (older) work fine. Is there any way to check my system to see what raw support I have? I don't think Apple releases stand alone raw support updates so not sure where to go.

ADOBE DNG CONVERTER FOR MAC 10.10.5 UPGRADE

I don't want to upgrade to El Captian or Seirra. It seems like it could be an OS issue in not having Raw support (D500) for Yosemite but I didn't think raw support was OS specific. What happens is when I imported images from my new D500 to Aperture or Photos (yuk!) on my iMac, the import thumbnails are shown but once loaded into Aperture or Photos I get the "Unsupported Image Format" in each file image. Additionally, I should note that this format issue does not occur on my same aged macbook pro which is running El Capitan. This issue started with Aperture (v3.6) on my iMac 27" (late 2009) running Yosemite 10.10.5 and have all current OS updates installed but also seems it may be an OS Raw support issue as no apps will open these files on this computer including Photos. I don't want to upgrade to El Captian or Seirra.
